There is a special feeling of joy that you experience through theater. Whether acting on stage, working in theater tech, or enjoying a show from the audience, the excitement is magical. As a theater director, one of my favorite parts of teaching and mentoring students is being with them when they see their hard work and their willingness to overcome obstacles pay off. Their eyes light up when they realize they have played an important role in making a masterpiece. They look back on our many rehearsals to see that friendships were built and strengthened, comfort zones were left behind, and that they succeeded in being brave. The growth that takes place in students through the experience of being part of a theater production is truly magical.
We genuinely hope you decide to join us at our productions this year and that you enjoy every minute. Get ready to laugh, cry, and cheer as these students use the gifts God has blessed them with to bless you. This talented team has worked tirelessly to put on a spectacular show for you to experience. So, please join us as we sit back, relax, and enjoy the show!
— Kelly Hargrove, Performance Arts Department Head
