LCA does not require incoming PK4 students to complete a placement test.
Thirty-minute individual evaluations are administered on a one-on-one basis at the LCA campus. These evaluations are scheduled by the Academic Coordinator after completing the online application.
Second grade will use Math and Language portions of the ITBS test. The testing will be administered in a small group setting. It will be approximately 1 hour long with a writing section included.
Lucas Christian Academy uses the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE). Testing takes place online at the LCA campus. Students will need to register online to take the ISEE after completing the online application.
The ERB website (www.erblearn.org) has a lot of information available to the parents about the ISEE. Click HERE to be directed to the ISEE Preparation page and scroll down to ‘What To Expect On The ISEE’ for Study Guide PDFs.
Select ‘Web Guides’ to access an online practice test. Under the ‘Taking the ISEE’ section and click on ‘Take a Practice Test’ – only available to grades fifth through twelfth. The practice test will be very helpful to familiarize your student with the format of the online test.
The ISEE is widely accepted, accurate, and provides advanced insights to both schools and students to help guide the admission process.
